This is a collection of poetry and short stories. Most of the poetry i wrote when i was in a dark time in my life and is very dark, but there is some inspiring and poems about beauty and love as well. It is out there if you look for it. The short stories aren't in the dark nature, they're actually rather humurous and i enjoyed becoming all of my bizarre characters and i hope you enjoy reading about them too.

My daughter Juli , who wrote these poems and short stories, died of a heroin overdose July 22, 2013. It was her first foray into heroin use, and her unintentional last. She is now at peace. Peace which was so elusive while she bravely fought her illness. The majority of these poems are indeed dark, but I think they offer a very honest and heartbreaking view of how bipolar illness causes so much torment. Bipolar illness destroyed her plans for her life. I was fortunate in that Juli talked to me, so I knew as well as I could, what living in her mind was like, and how hard life was for her. Juli was kind, and was always trying to help others. She was unselfish and so loving. Many parents never get the opportunity to understand how much pain and suffering our loved ones go through while trying to fight Bipolar illness, we only see the hardship this causes us. Juli gave it a good fight, but her illness proved extremely difficult to treat effectively. I miss her every day, but I feel her calmness now. Our loved ones with a mental illness suffer greatly also. We have to remember that.Product details
